As much as I love movies, I'm usually pretty indifferent to the Oscars. Sure, I'll check in to see who won what, but the behind-the-scenes politicking is notorious and often out of touch with the type of movies I enjoy. Still, the Academy Awards give us an idea of how films were appreciated amongst their contemporaries and while the system isn't perfect, it is still fun to argue about.
I've reviewed 145 Oscar-nominated movies, with 563 nominations and 125 wins between them.
Winners are listed in bold, in the year the award ceremony took place. That means that the winners for the Best Picture of 2010 will be listed in the 2011 awards, since they take place in February.
